Reported Everton target Nicolas De La Cruz has revealed that he would particularly love to play in the Premier League for Everton amid reports linking him with a move to the blue half of Merseyside. Nicolas is a forward and plays for Argentine football league club River Plate and is already dropping a huge hint that he could be an Everton player at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season.

While Everton have been linked with a move for the player, it does not look like they urgently need his services given that James Rodriguez and Gylfi Sirgudsson have both been very impressive for Carlo Ancelotti's side so far this season. The fine form of the Toffees' creative midfielders makes it a little hard to see Nicolas donning the Everton shirt next season as the club may forego the opportunity to sign him.
However, despite the situation, the River Plate attacking midfielder has continued to be linked with a move to the English Premier League and Everton. The 23-year-old is an Uruguay international midfield star and is reported to have formerly been linked with a switch to Goodison Park for a reported £22 million back in 2020. However, there have been two transfer windows after then and there was no concrete offer made by Everton.

But in the last weeks, the rumors have resurfaced and are back atop the waters. This time, the rumors are stronger than the last time and if the current reports are to be believed, Everton might be making their move this time around and finally make the £22 million bid as they look to try River Plate's resolve.

The Argentine club will reportedly rebuff any offers made for their star attacking midfielder who they would like to keep beyond the expiration of his current contract (2022) and the club's managing director has revealed that they would do anything to ensure that they hold on to one of their key players beyond the forthcoming transfer window.
