Five clubs have reportedly made an offer to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero. This is according to the report from French media outlet Foot Mercato which stated that as many as five teams are battling to sign the Argentina player on a free transfer.

Argentina national team striker Aguero would be a free agent in the summer after it was confirmed that he would be leaving Premier League table toppers Manchester City at the end of his contract. His Manchester City contract expires in a matter of three months.

The publicationlisted Manchester United and Chelsea as the two English teams keen to take advantage of the Aguero situation by signing the Argentina player on a free transfer this summer. Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan, French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona are the other teams in the running for Aguero.

The Red Devilsare in the market for a new striker and the Argentine could be the answer. The Red Devils have been heavily linked with rave of the momentErlingHaaland of Borussia Dortmund but Aguero represents a cheaper striker option. Fellow English giants Chelsea might also sign a new striker especially if the misfiring Timo Werner leaves the club in the summer.

Inter Milan have one of the most feared strike partnerships in European football with the duo of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku. Aguero could join that fearsome line-up in the summer. Martinez and Aguero both play for Argentina. At Barcelona, Aguero has the opportunity to reunite with Argentina skipper Lionel Messi, while the Manchester City striker could join another of his compatriot in Mauricio Pochettino at Argentina. Pochettino is the new PSG manager.
