European national squads are competing against each other in the qualifying matches of the 2016 Euro’s but since Argentina cannot enter that tournament due to obvious reasons, the team of Gerardo Martino have been a number of friendly matches with their latest one being played at the Hong Kong Stadium in China as the Argentinean squad faced off with Hong Kong in a match that was dominated by the squad of Lionel Messi.
Argentina controlled the ball and the tempo of the match from start until the very end and had the 80% of possession which allowed them on launching a total of 14 shots on target meanwhile their opponents was unable to fire any real threatening.
Ever Banega, Nicolas Gaitan, Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi all scored goals in this match which turned the scoreboard to 7-0 after 94 minutes had passed.
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi entered the pitch at the 60th minute and still managed to make a huge impact as he score on twice and provided an assist for his teammate Gaitan. This is what the star of Barcelona needed in order to try and forget about the abysmal match he experienced when playing a friendly match against Brazil only 3 days before this match was played where he missed a penalty kick and Argentina lost 2-0.
This triumph was a huge morale boosting result for Argentina and especially Lionel Messi as the player of Barcelona is preparing himself for the upcoming Spanish League match against their rivals Real Madrid which is scheduled to be played on October 25 at the home ground of Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu.
