Tottenham Hotspur have suffered their first defeat of the season after hosts Sporting Lisbon scored two late goals on the way to a 2-0 victory in their Champions League Group D clash.

The North Londoners were unbeaten in seven games at the start of this season ahead of their visit to Portugal to take on immediate past Portuguese top flight league champions Sporting Lisbon.
Spurs have had a good start to the season with four wins and two draws in six league games to occupy third spot on the table. They are one point off North London rivals Arsenal who are at the top of the table.
