Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is defiant that his team will score the next penalty after Sergio Aguero squandered his spot-kick against Leicester City on the road. The Citizens had the chance to open the scoring at the hour mark after they were handed with a penalty for a hand ball from Dennis Praet in the box.
The resulting spotkick from Aguero was saved by Kasper Schmeichel but the Citizens were still able to register a 1-0 win after Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to score the winner in the 81st minute. With Aguero’s miss, the Mancunian giants have now failed to convert four penalties on the trot but Guardiola is confident that whoever takes the next one will find the net.
