In preparations for their showdown with Singapore, Argentina’s coach, Jorge Sampaoli will be fielding a remarkable attacking line-up for the game.

He hopes to see his men in an aggressive defensive play as they engage in the friendly on Tuesday with Singapore.

Sampaoli, who spoke at a pre-match news conference, discussed his widely reported switch to a lesser-spotted 2-3-4-1 system in Kallang.

In the speculated starting XI, centre-backs Emmanuel Mammana and Federico Fazio are the only two recognized defenders
The former Sevilla boss led the team to victory in their first game as they beat strong rivals, Brazil to a 1-0 win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Sampaoli is hoping that the upcoming match with VaradarajuSundramoorthy's side will do good job at showing him how adaptive some of his team members can be towards his aggressive pressing style.

"There's the possibility that there's two central defenders with one back up," he said. "The defence of the team are the 10 players, just like the match against Brazil showed.

"What we will be looking for in this game will be the development of defensive organization, which has a lot to do with pressuring to recover the ball immediately,” he added.

Some fans in Singapore would be very much disappointed to hear that Lionel Messi, Barcelona’s superstar will miss the game. He as well as Manchester defender, Nicholas Otamendi, and Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain are being rested for this match.

The coach however insists that his reason for resting the captain is to avoid the risks of injury at the end of a long season. The coach also hopes that they can experiment with the many offensive players in the team’s ranks.

In the absence of Messi and his Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano, Lazio midfielder, Lucas Biglia is expected to captain the team.
